【摘要】:Thispracticemaybeusedforapproximatingalimitingdesignstressatroomtemperatureand,insomecases,forapproximatingtherangeofelasticbehavior.Elasticlimit,orthegreateststressthatamaterialiscapableofsustainingwithoutanypermanentstrainremaininguponcompletereleaseofthestress,isamoretechnicallyaccuratedesignparameter;however,theelasticlimitisextremelydifficulttomeasureinroutinetesting.Cautionshouldbeusedinapplyingsuchvaluestopredictthebehaviorofflatorwirespringsinbending,torsionorotherstressmodes,orattemperaturesotherthanthatatwhichthedeterminationismade.1.1Thispracticeestablishestherequirementsfordeterminingoffsetyieldstrength(0.01%,0.02%,and0.05%offset)atroomtemperature.Itisintendedforcopperalloysintemperscommonlyusedforspringapplications,andmaterialsthickerthan0.010in.(0.25mm).1.1.1Theprimaryapplicationofthispracticeisintendedforflatstripmaterialsthatareusedforsprings;however,thispracticecanbeusedforotherproductforms,suchaswire,rod,andbar.1.2Units8212;Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
