【摘要】:ThispartofISO20998describesultrasonicmethodsfordeterminingthesizedistributionsofoneormorematerialphasesdispersedinaliquid.Colloids,dispersions,slurriesandemulsionsarewithinthescopeofthispartofISO20998.Thetypicalparticlesizeforsuchanalysisrangesfrom10nmto3mm,althoughparticlesoutsidethisrangehavealsobeensuccessfullymeasured.Measurementscanbemadeforconcentrationsofthedispersedphaserangingfrom0,1%byvolumeupto50%ormorebyvolume,dependingonthedensitycontrastbetweenthecontinuousandthedispersedphases.Thesemethodscanbeusedtomonitordynamicchangesinthesizedistribution,includingagglomerationorflocculationinconcentratedsystems.
