【摘要】:Thistestmethodmaybeusedtodeterminethehailimpactresistanceofwindshieldsforacceptance,design,service,orresearchpurposes.Bycouplingthismethodwiththeinstalledangleandvelocityofaspecificaerospacevehicle,designallowables,criteria,andtolerancescanbeestablishedforthatvehicle''swindshield.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheimpactresistanceofanaerospacetransparentenclosure,hereinaftercalledwindshield,duringhailstormconditionsusingsimulatedhailstonesconsistingoficeballsmoldedundertightlycontrolledconditions.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.ForspecifichazardstatementsseeSection7.
